Hayley is an American performer and actress. Her most well-known roles can be Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' a comedy TV show. But she is primarily musician. According to her, music is the first thing that interests her. It is something she was experimenting at since she was 9 years old. She began training in music professionally when she was twelve. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13, and she was just 14 when she made her first collection of cover songs. From that moment on, she has not looked back. Orrantia has Hispanic roots, however she was born in the USA. Although she was raised speaking only English and never lived in Mexico she is very happy about her Hispanic heritage. Her goal is to preserve the culture by writing Spanish songs and taking classes in the language. "Hasta Verte," a track that she wrote in Spanish is a good example. In the summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the first episode of The X Factor. Orrantia got the X Factor's four "yeses" from the panel of judges on the Seattle live auditions after having been selected from her YouTube entry. She was originally an individual performer. However, following "Hollywood Week" and three other female performers were put in groups to take part in the auditions. Live shows were staged in the 5th week.
