Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the United States for more than forty years. She is most famous for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in a few Broadway plays before breaking through to national prominence with Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a drama film. It was an enormous success, and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. When she was a student in Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. She signed on with CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour was able to juggle between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as opposed her perceived image as an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she was a successful television director with various series like Supernatural and The 100. She was born in Essex on August 28th 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three which is where she spent the rest of her childhood and adolescence. She settled in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
